Sometimes a PDF just needs its pages in a different order, or a few pages removed — a scanned form with a blank page in the middle, a report with sections out of sequence. InstantTools handles this with a visual page grid that runs entirely in your browser.
What this tool actually does
Upload a PDF and you get a thumbnail grid of every page. Drag pages to reorder them, and click the trash icon on any page to remove it — then export. That's the full feature set today: this is a page-organization tool, not a text/annotation editor. There's no tool for adding text, highlighting, drawing, or covering up content on top of a page — if you need to redact sensitive information, use our dedicated PDF Redactor instead, which permanently rasterizes covered areas.
Under the hood, kept pages are copied into a new PDF document preserving their original content (text stays selectable and searchable) — nothing is rasterized or flattened by this tool.
Why do this locally instead of uploading?
Most online PDF editors send your document to their servers to process it. For contracts, medical records, or anything sensitive, that's an unnecessary exposure. Because the entire reorder happens in your browser's memory, your file is never uploaded.
How to reorder or delete pages
- Drag and drop your PDF into the workspace.
- Drag any page thumbnail to move it to a new position in the document.
- Click the trash icon on a thumbnail to remove that page entirely.
- Click "Reorder & Export" to download the modified PDF.
Common use cases
- Remove a blank or duplicate page from a scanned document.
- Reorder sections of a report or proposal without re-exporting from the original source file.
- Strip out a cover page, appendix, or unwanted section before sharing a PDF.
- Fix page order in a scan that came out of sequence.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add text, highlights, or annotations with this tool?
Not with this tool — it only reorders and removes pages. For redacting sensitive information, use our PDF Redactor; for filling out form fields, use Fill & Sign PDF.
Does this change the content of the pages I keep?
No. Kept pages are copied into the new PDF with their original content intact — text remains selectable and searchable, nothing is flattened into an image.
Does this tool send my document to a server?
No. The entire process — parsing, reordering, and exporting — happens locally in your browser.
What is the maximum file size?
Free accounts can process files up to 100MB. Premium accounts can handle files up to 500MB, still entirely in the browser.
