Image Color Palette
Extract the dominant colors from any photo or graphic as a set of HEX swatches, entirely in your browser.
What it does
Image Color Palette analyzes your uploaded image and returns its 6 most dominant colors as HEX swatches you can click to copy. The extraction downsamples the image (max 200×200), buckets similar pixel colors together, and returns the most frequently occurring color groups — a standard, lightweight approach to dominant-color detection, not a full k-means color clustering library. What's not included
- The color count is fixed at 6 — there's no option to request 5, 8, 12, or any other number of swatches.
- No RGB values are shown, only HEX codes (e.g.
#2a3f5f). - No CSS-variable or JSON export — each swatch has a "Copy" action that copies its HEX string to your clipboard, one at a time. There's no bulk export or download of the full palette as a file.

- Click any swatch (or its hex code below the grid) to copy that HEX value to your clipboard.

How many colors does it extract?
Always exactly 6 — there's no setting to change this.
Can I export the palette as CSS variables or JSON?
Not currently — you can copy individual HEX values one at a time, but there's no bulk export in any format.
Is analysis done locally?
Yes. Color extraction runs via the Canvas API entirely in your browser. No image is uploaded.
Can I extract colors from a screenshot?
Yes — any JPEG, PNG, or WebP image works, including UI screenshots.

All color extraction runs 100% client-side via the Canvas API. No images are transmitted to external servers.
